The first season had a propulsive narrative force anchored by the Ultron-Watcher storyline that made for a satisfying finale. The second season didn’t have the same overarching plot, as the episodes felt much more detached from each other. I enjoyed a few episodes, especially the first one with Nebula joining the Nova Corps, because I felt like it had a very steampunk sci-fi vibe that I appreciated. I also enjoyed the episode involving Hela and the 10 rings. I thought it did a good job of basically mimicking the plot of the first Thor movie, but with Hela as the main protagonist. I enjoyed a lot of the action in season 2, but the pacing in both seasons is just too fast. This is understandable, since they are trying to cram an entire story into a 30 minute runtime. That being said, it is so fast-paced that the show doesn’t give you a break to breathe and catch the different story beats… especially the dramatic ones. Overall, I thought season 2 was more boring than I would have hoped. Season 1 was an 8, but I plan on lowering the overall rating of the series to a 7 after completing season 2.
